Lies & Liability
Lies & Liability is a Regency-era live-action role-playing game (larp) produced by Grimmoire Productions. Set in the spring of 1803 during Lady Elinor Davenport's annual ball, it invites 70–80 players to portray members of high society navigating themes of social status, reputation, and personal relationships over the course of three days.
The events' runs have taken place at the Dekoven Center in Racine, WI, USA, and features pre-written characters with detailed backgrounds, including rank, finances, and connections. Using the OK Check-In and Negotiation Forward techniques, the game emphasizes consent and collaborative storytelling, creating space for dramatic, romantic, and comedic interactions. Using custom Rank & Respectability mechanics, the game focused on social class, scandal, and the repressed environment of Regency England to capture appropriate Darcy-esque "pining".
Grimmoire Productions is lead by director, Vivien Grimm, and a talented team of larp professionals.
